Grumpy Dog in Wetumpka

A little weird. Not your typical American hot dog chili but it was pretty good, must be foreigners recipe. And the baked beans were a little weird at first I thought they didn't taste good but then I couldn't stop eating them.

Best footlog hot dog I've had in years!

My Dad recently discovered this place, and now he eats at Grumpy Dog every time he's in the area. He brought me for lunch one day, and I have to say I was pretty impressed. For one thing, the place was *covered up*. But even with one guy making all the hotdogs fresh to order, we still got our food in a timely fashion with cheerful service. I had the Chicago dog and it was pretty awesome. I did have to take off a few of the sport peppers-but still, it was a great dog!

If you even slightly like hotdogs you need to give this place a try! Chocolate dipped key lime pie is the best I've had since Key West!

I experienced friendly service there. That was one delicious hot dog! Just forget picking it up use your utensils! Wetumpka is quite a wonderful gem.

We loved this place! The service was great. They were all very attentive and charming. The hot dogs were awesome! We loved the southern. All around great experience! We will definitely be going back.

You can sit outside with your fur baby. You are also with in walking distance to Gold Star Park. The hot dogs are also good. Friendly service

Maybe some of the best toppings around. Everything on the menu is really good. Friendly service. The only improvement could be in the actual dogs. They seem to be steamed Oscar Meyers. Some grilled all-beef hot dogs would be a great addition.

I wish I had taken a picture. The grouchy dog was delicious! Spicy mustard, kraut & a pickle spear. YUM. I'll be back!

Fabulous dogs! You can get just about anything you want on it. I had chili, kraut, pimento cheese, and mustard. Incredibly good, with fast service.

Got the Frito Bandito after hitting the kayaks. All 3 of us ordered that tasty dog (I got carmelized onions on mine) and it hit the spot! Not much for parking but foods good!

This place is disappointing. I don't love the buns they use, but I'm extremely disappointed in their hot dogs. The sliced cheese they put on top didn't really help either. I could have made a better one at home.

Nice staff. First rate dogs. Sitting outside with a chili dog and a lemonade takes you back to when the world was a simpler, better place. Make an excuse to stop in if you are near.

Tournament Salad is THE BEST! Normally I eat the Conecuh Sausage dog fixed up like the Frito Bandito. But, y'all. This salad is like no other! It'll make you slap ya mama!!

Definitely a gem in downtown Wetumpka. Parking is a bit minimal but it's a fun location. Daily specials are worth getting... great meatball sub when they have it. Cant wait to go back and try more of their dogs. Worth the visit.
